This Non-Accredited Elevated Work Platform (EWP) course equips you with the essential skills to safely operate Scissor Lifts, and/or Boom Lifts of under 11m reach. Designed to provide site contextual training equivalent to the ‘Yellow Card,’ this course delivers clear guidance, practical demonstrations, and hands-on application to reinforce learning.

This session focuses on mastering setup, operation, and shutdown procedures, all with a strong focus on safety. Whether you're a beginner or experienced operator, you'll gain the confidence to navigate worksites safely and efficiently.

This course may be delivered in a VoC context for industry.

Course Durations

Face-to-Face Face to Face contact time of at least 1 Hour

This certificate does not require renewal

Identifies under 11m EWP type & plans work for appropriate EWP type used

Identify hazards relating to use of EWP types, scissor, vertical, self-propelled, truck or trailer mount

Apply risk controls for identified hazards for EWP type use

Identify procedures, signs and documents: compliance plates, placards, logbooks for EWP use

Identify site emergency response plan & external emergency services

Identify breakdown response & emergency procedures

Conduct start up and shut down procedures

Operate appropriate EWP type & respond to breakdown

Use correct communication protocols before, during and after operations

Recognise appropriate EWP type care, use & maintenance actions

Demonstrate appropriate situational awareness during operations
