Sydney Water maintain a Health & Safety Procedure, Confined Space Safety WHSMS0068, which their employees and contractors are required to follow when undertaking work in and around Confined Spaces on Sydney Water assets.
This procedure applies to designers, Sydney Water staff and contractors working on sites controlled by Sydney Water. Each business unit and contractors must meet or exceed the requirements in this procedure.
People who do hazard identification & risk assessment (HIDRA), emergency response plans; and inspection, testing and monitoring, are the among the target audience for implementing this procedure.
This session focuses on orienting people to the requirements noted in this procedure and may be delivered in conjunction with Sydney Water approved Nationally recognised Confined Space related Units of Competence, such as RIIWHS202E Enter and work in Confined Spaces or MSMWHS Gas Test Atmospheres.
This course may co delivered with Nationally Recognised Training Units or Course Sets for work in Confined Spaces.
