This Local Government Council Safety Induction provides an overview of workplace health and safety responsibilities and procedural requirements for employees and contractors.

It covers known hazards, risks, and controls associated with confined spaces, height work, and working in proximity to energised overhead power lines and underground cables.

Participants learn about duty of care, incident reporting, and relevant Council WHS policies.

The course addresses legal, safety, and documentation requirements.

Topics include PPE, workplace safety, including considerations of the public, and emergency procedures.
