This An-CO Company course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely install, commission, use, maintain, and dismantle swing stage scaffolds in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, manufacturer requirements, and workplace procedures.

This course is suitable for;

  • Scaffolders, installers, and maintenance personnel working with swing stage systems.
  • Supervisors, engineers, or project managers responsible for planning, installation, or inspection of suspended scaffolds.
  • Persons seeking verification of competency (VOC) or refresher training for swing stage work.

Participants will gain information relating to performing key functions associated with swing stage scaffold operations, including:

  • Recognise relevant Laws and guidance material, WHS Laws, COP’s, Standards and manufacturer manuals.
  • Initial appraisal and planning of swing stage installation, including site assessment and selection of appropriate equipment.
  • Detailed planning, installation, and preparation of swing stage scaffolds to ensure structural stability and compliance with safety requirements.
  • Safe installation and commissioning of swing stage scaffolds for handover to authorised users.
  • Routine maintenance and inspection of swing stage components and associated safety systems.
  • Safe dismantling and removal of swing stage scaffolds in accordance with manufacturer and workplace procedures.
  • Travel restraint and fall arrest systems specific to swing stage scaffold installers.
  • Implementation of height rescue and retrieval procedures for swing stage scaffold operations.

This course does not replace licencing requirements for prescribed occupations such as scaffolding or rigging.

There are specific Swing stage installer and user training requirements in place in Queensland.

Delegates must be nominated by An-CO management.

Scaffolding and/or Rigging Advanced qualifications and licencing requirements apply to Swing Stage scaffold installers.

This course provides relevant information to provide a comprehensive overview of the information and skills required to undertake Swing stage installations in the workplace.

This course is suitable for;
