This course is suitable for workers required to undertake lifting and loading operations using synthetic lifting slings in conjunction with common use rigging hardware / lifting equipment e.g. edge protectors, shackles, load rings, lifting points.

It is also suitable for those required to manage or supervise those workers, or those in safety management roles tasked with ensuring their safety at work.

The goal is to help keep people safe at work by promoting informed safe lifting practices with synthetic lifting slings.

The course is delivered on site, subject to risk assessment of training area and equipment and has been informed by extensive industry experience and engagement with synthetic sling manufacturers and importers in Australia.

Aimed a providing an in depth awareness of the material properties of synthetic slings, a clear understanding of safe working loads, understanding and recognition of sharp edges and sharp edge radius situations and the correct storage and maintenance requirements.

It includes information on equipment care, use and maintenance, PPE, manual handling and personal and team member safety in the lifting applications using synthetic slings.

Clients may require contextualised delivery, this is possible with prior consultation.
