Plant induction for An-Co Swing stage - Plant handover - Plant specific induction

In accord with WHS Regulations 2025 Legislated requirements to provide necessary training and instruction for plant operators and others.


User / operator role induction training

This handover training provides the essential training and safety information regarding the operation of the Suspended scaffold (Swing stage), in accord with O.E.M. instructions and site requirements.

It is designed to ensure that the trainee understands the O.E.M. care, use and maintenance, safety features and procedures, operational controls and protocols and breakdown and emergency procedures.

It is applicable to anyone required to use this Swing stage.


Boat Captain role induction training (where relevant to site procedures)

The "Boat Captain" is responsible for the safe use of the Swing Stage including any personnel using the Swing Stage

These inductees must be able to understand, operate and coordinate the Swing sage crew to operate (and reset if required) swing stage overspeed safety brake and operate emergency unpowered descent controls.


This induction is delivered in English language, please advise beforehand if interpreter/translator will be required to allow for a modified delivery.

Course Delivery

This course can be delivered/assessed in the workplace or at facility organised by the training provider.

Course Durations

Course durations can vary for multiple reasons, so the durations below are the minimum possible amount.

Face-to-Face Face to Face contact time of at least 1 Hour

Site inductions as required

Construction general induction , as required.

Working at height qualification, as required

Site PPE, as required.

Course is authored and delivered in English, please contact us if ESL may present barriers to completion.

This certificate has an industry recommended renewal period of 60 months

  • Correct loading of platform (personal and material)
  • Known hazards and controls
  • Pre and post operation checks
  • Cable management
  • Platform, wire ropes and suspension rig/ rostrum condition
  • Clear travel paths
  • Dropped object prevention personal
  • Dropped object prevention systems that have been installed on / used with the Swing stage
  • Overspeed safety devices operation
  • Emergency lowering devices
  • Emergency lowering training (completed at the end of the session)
  • Controls including emergency stops
  • Reporting and recording faults and anomalies
  • Securing Swing stage on work completion
